While looking for something filed deep away on my computer I found an old file – a file with notes how walking in Love. I seem to remember – making these notes with a deep desire to make sure they became apart of me. Here they are.
- Keep overlooking the shortcomings in other people. Look for Jesus in them.
- Love keeps no record of wrongs
- You can respond in love in every situation and with every person you meet by the confession of your mouth and by your actions
- The more you confess the Word of God, the more you deposit that Word into your spirit. Once you get it down in you in abundance, it will begin to flow out. When it comes from your spirit, and then out of your mouth, it will come in the form of faith filled words.
- The things coming to pass in your life are the result of what is in your heart. Your heart is the clearinghouse.
- The speed with which the words work and the progress of the you’re spiritual growth are in direct proportion to the amount of time you spend in it.
- There is no shortcut. You must take the time to fill your heart with God’s Word. Then speak it.
- Because I Love, I suffer long, I am kind, I do not envy, I do not parade myself, I am not puffed up, I do not seek my own, I am not provoked, I think no evil, I do not rejoice in iniquity but I rejoice in truth, I bear all things, believe all things, I hope all things, I endure all things and I never fail.
- To walk in love – to live in this God kind of love – is like a man walking in a dense, early morning fog. He walks in it until his clothes are saturated with moisture, until the brim of his hat drips with water. You can walk in Love of God to the point that your whole being is saturated with Love. Every word you speak drips with Love, and everybody you come into contact with is affected by that love.
- I’m a believer. I’m born of Love. The Love way is my way because it’s God’s way and I am born of God.
- Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
- “Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.” Matthew 7:12
- The reason you labor with your hands is in order to be a giver. God intends to meet your needs out of the return on you giving.
- Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
- Corrupt communication includes gossip, profanity, bad news, and negativism. Don’t let it come out of your mouth.
- Will my words minister undeserved favour to the person to whom I am talking? Even though it may be true if it doesn’t minister grace to the hearer, don’t say it.
- When you corrupt communication, you may have to turn and walk rather than get involved. Guard your tongue, and don’t talk about other people
- If you see a problem in someone else and want to correct the problem, is the problem in you instead of in them! Love covers a multitude of sins; it keeps no record of wrongs. Love only sees the good in people!
Another fine blog post. There is nothing better than getting/reading/receiving something that’s good for you in life, that’s what these sort of posts do for me.
